Current AI assistants often miss or misrepresent the cultural realities of the Black community, leading to biased answers and limited usefulness. Our research shows that this is not a small oversight—it’s a structural problem that leaves many voices unheard. By creating culturally informed AI, like ChatBlackGPT, we demonstrate that technology can do better: it can reflect history more accurately, address racial issues with care, and highlight the brilliance of Black thinkers and culture. Building inclusive AI isn’t just about fairness—it’s about making sure technology truly works for everyone.
